Banana Bread Waffles

Today I tried something different. We always have tons of bananas that don't get eaten and I love banana bread so I always freeze the bananas. Then every few months one falls on my toe because now that is all that is in the freezer because I never have time to make them. So today I got really hungry for some waffles...not really a shocker there...and there were some slightly overripe bananas. Hence banana bread waffles!

 I used a modified version of 'The Taste Of Home Cookbook's' Banana Nut Bread. And then threw it in my waffle iron. Verdict: Success!

*the only change I made to the recipe I made was leaving out 1/4 cup of flour oh and using chocolate chips instead of nuts. I didn't have any walnuts on hand but I definitely had chocolate chips. ;)
